Ah, that's unfortunate :C The war, I mean. But Peter's fine talking about mundane things too. He would talk her ear off about music from the 70s and 80s, as well as all movies and tv shows he enjoyed as a kid.
Do tell him about plant and he will mention Groot and how much he swears. As for being a hopeless romantic, he's also at fault. But he's also missing Gamora like mad, so bringing that subject up will make him rather sad. That said, he will like to know all the things about 60.
I'm not familiar with her canon, sadly.

it's so good, man, it's so good. i played it later than all of my friends had and had some? expectations that the plot had some depressing "war is bad" and "robots sure do make ya think, huh?" moments in it but i was not expecting how actually philosophically deep the actual story and themes are, and i highly recommend both playing it and going in as absolutely starkly blind as possible.
tl;dr, nier automata good, actually. plus even if you're not that great at games, it has a very flexible and forgiving "easy mode" that i played most of the early game in (you can change it if you feel like it's too baby-mode), just to experience the story and its characters.
i didn't mean to gush about this oops

Honestly I think the only expectations we should have when it comes to what we consume if its we find it enjoyable or not. I love plenty of shows that are not state of the art and even a longer list of chars that are the equivalent of a trashcan on fire, but they make me have a good time and that's good enough. So eeeh I'm glad you had fun with Nier automata, it's the only thing that really matters :D
Nah, go on, I like learning about people's hobbies, I totally get it. I tend to TL;DR myself
