TL;DR: Aqua has a very strong sense of justice and a good heart. In the series she's more or less like a stern big sister, but she does have a teasing and playful side towards people she's comfortable with. Since she's coming from the end of Kingdom Hearts 3, she does have her own emotional baggage to deal with. She's also extremely protective of the people she cares about and won't hesitate to do what she needs to to make sure that they're safe.

The good news is, Aqua doesn't have to be the mom friend in all her relationships anymore, because now she can make friends with an actual mom. Gasp.

And Summer's exactly the type who's going to find her confusion delightful. She's a bit of a gremlin, really. But she'll also be inclined to help Aqua as best she can, and if she needs someone to talk to Summer can fit the bill quite nicely.
