event 001: welcome to the jungle
WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE |
Fear not. All is as foretold. Error. Biological rejuvenation process initiated. Error. Illegal system protocol. Kernel not found. Fear not. All is as foretold. Strange messages appear this afternoon, with AUGUR as the sender. ![]() Now, and since the welcome banquet, the island's robots have pulled out all the stops to encourage their guests to get off to a good start. Since then though, they've seemed sluggish. Good news for those avoiding the enforcers, but bad news for those making use of the already-limited machinery. True to their word, the fabricators have been constructing the furnishings as promised, but the pace has been truly glacial. Far more unnerving is that the rate of food production has been equally slowed. It seems using all their power for a single big party might not have been such a good idea at all, though the robots continue to claim that all is going as foretold. When things seem to be getting bleakest, there's a change in the weather. ![]() For the first time since arriving, the constantly overcast grey darkens further and the sky unleashes a torrential rain. The still-standing buildings provide adequate shelter and fortunately there's only minimal localized flooding in the lowest places, but the water pooling is far too muddied with what must have been centuries of dust to be of any real use to anyone. It rains for an entire day and an entire night. Then the skies clear, and the first rays of light show signs of something that hasn't existed here at all until now -- plant life. Rapidly growing plant life. In fact, it's growing so rapidly that it seems to overwhelm some of the buildings. With this sudden outgrowth come a number of new problems as never-before-seen fruits and flowers prove as unpredictable as this world's climate: It's a love dart! Some plants shoot darts at characters who come too close, dosing them with enough aphrodisiac to make them little more than zombies driven by lust. Orgasm clears the mind. But some fruit is bitter Is that passionfruit? It inspires feelings of jealousy and clinginess, bordering on yandere tendencies. No amount of contact can stop it. The effects wear off on their own within 24 hours. Audrey II What've you got all those tendrils for? Why, tying up unsuspecting adventurers, of course! Get your consentacles on, get a grope in, or convince your lover to try some natural shibari. ![]() Sensual succulents There's even a mysterious fruit that generates some sweet feel-good motion-lotion. Feel free to invent others, too! Error. Unauthorized biological contaminants detected. Decontamination protocol initiated Meanwhile, the robots can be seen in a state of confusion. While a small number attempt to maintain and cultivate the growth, the majority have switched to a more combative mode. Many can be seen fighting off plant growth with implements ranging from laser-cutters to full on chemical flamethrowers. More alarmingly, they’ve stopped distinguishing plantlife from island residents, and seem to attack any biological lifeforms in their vicinity. Residents are encouraged to run, hide, or fight their way to safety. Omens from the sky. Omens from the land. Subroutine six nine nine n̵i̶n̶e̴ ̷n̵i̴n̷e̴ ̴n̶i̵n̴e̷... The plants will wreak havoc on the island for one week until sex acts stabilize the outgrowth, ultimately resulting in safer variants that can be gathered for food or simply admired as local fauna... although the aforementioned devilish plantlife can still be found every so often. The Augur will be offline during these events. It will not respond to questions in person or sent to it via bracelets. When the plants have calmed down, so too will the robots. We apologize for the inconvenience. Decontamination protocols have been completed; subroutine deleted. Please feel free to plot in the comments here; there will be no event log.N A V I G A T I O N |

RWBY is a bit of a cluster fuck that started off as high school anime hijinks that suddenly gained a plot. I like it, but I would never tell the unsuspecting it's good lmao

ahahaha! I'm slowly making my way through JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, so whatever RWBY has to throw at me, I can handle it. My husband marathoned it already without me because he's a monster like that lol, he recommends it and I trust his taste.
