Yashiki sounds really interesting! I don't know the canon, but I'm down for people who have empathy and compassion for twisted creatures who just need understanding and vengeance.

I wonder how Yashiki's ability to recognize humans would be affected by non-humans? I also play Mara (shemara) and she'd technically not human despite looking humanoid. She's from the planet Eternia.

It's true! He wants to sympathize with them, because they're entities that no one is willing to sympathize and understand. Their existence is so lonely and unfortunate to him that he can't help but want to do everything that he can for them. ;A;

Hm!! He can just tell that something isn't human and see through the glamour that non-human entities put up to hide the fact they aren't. Encountering something that is non-human in general, he might recognize that she isn't human but also isn't supernatural either and be like dog hearing strange sound ... not sure what to do...

Giving sympathy to something/one that no one else is willing to... Yeah he and Miranda should be friends. She'd totally get that inherent need right there.

Whereas Mara would think it's interesting since she's never encountered humans until now and yet has been mistaken for them already.

Time to get him being ... trying to figure out how to ask what she is... without accidentally making her angry since he has only dealt with vengeful creatures, haha.

Mara's easy at least since she'll be honest up front. But I imagine there are a lot of nonhumans who will make that power kind of interesting for someone in game to have (I play another character who is a Faunus/animal-person but looks human and she'll be floored someone can tell she's not human just by looking at her.)

That is very easy! He'll be pleased with that. As much as he sympathizes and wants to be kind to grudge-filled spirits, he also doesn't want to be killed horribly by them. So her honesty would be gratefully appreciated!

Gasp. He gets to stare at her for awhile and squint. (laughs) Though, meeting enough non-human beings that aren't actively going to murder him, might have him say something right away. :sparkles:
