I. He will be affected by the dreams, and very bothered by them, though likely only his close CR will hear about it unless he meets one of your characters in a dream. I'd love to have an exploration dream gone bad with someone -- seeing the cool sights but having the dream slowly turn full horror.
II. Even was here during the first invasion, and he remembers these monsters. They weren't people he recognized, last time, though...
He has some expertise bringing the driftwood zombies down, that he'll try and use here. He's good magical accompaniment to a physical fighter, and will likely look for someone to be the might to his magic. Inevitably it's more fun to have this stuff go wrong, though, and I'd love to do an ill-fated attempt to fight the monsters leading to injury or just running away with their tails between their legs.
He'll also open up the classroom/school (which I've done nothing with in months smh...) as a haven for people, as it's a sturdy building.
Likely fear of the unknown, and horror over the oceanic invaders and their (probably) lies, will drive him to defend the Augur. I'd love to have that argument IC, though, especially in some wonderfully tense scenario like hiding from marauding zombies, or in a horrible dream.
Note! I'm nominally coming back from a very long househunting slowaitus and hiatus: Even's been "in the hospital" himself for a little while. It'd be fun to play with that, either playing up the horror of the near-miss realization that he could have been one of those shambling corpses, or perhaps having him come back the day before the invasion from the ocean because SUS. Having someone mistake him for an especially well preserved zombie would be *chefs kiss*
